The Heart Index
Socio were asked to contribute to the Heart Index. A not-for-profit design compendium, raising money and awareness for Heart Research UK. It’s pages showcase a collection of hearts, designed and interpreted by a host of contemporary practitioners, including Adrian Shaughnessy, Spin, Studio Makgill and Wim Crouwel.
Our submission communicated the average human heart rate in a typographic expression. The number ’80’ is repeated and dissected to create the feeling of a ‘beat’. The poster is red and blue to represented both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood. The book is available to buy on The Heart Index website.
